Regio Er heerst een continentaal klimaat in het gebied met hete zomers en koude winters. De regio is weinig blootgesteld aan de noordwinden en de winden van de Atlantische Oceaan, omdat hij beschermd wordt door de Serra Mesão. De ondergrond bestaat voornamelijk uit graniet en leisteen.
Vat

Vinificatieproces

Complete destemming, verlengde maceratie van de zachte schil en alcoholische gisting aan een temperatuur van 26° C. Fermentatie gebeurt in gerobotizeerde “Lagars” van roestvrij staal.

Bewaring

12 maanden rijpen in nieuwe vaten van Franse eik.

Kleur

Intens granaat rood met violette tonen.

Aroma

Deze wijn heeft de typische kenmerken van het Douro terroir. Een explosie van rijpe bosvruchten in de mond. Complexe, subtiele toast, chocolade en zwarte bloemblaadjes.

Smaak

Zacht, goed volume, goed gestructureerd en eindigt met een lange nawerking.
Dining Excellent bij gemarineerd, gegrild rood vlees, wild en goed gestructureerde kazen.
Het beste geserveerd bij 16° C.

There is a continental climate in the area with hot
summers and cold winters. The area is little susceptible to

Vinification process.

game meat and well structured cheeses.
